l FITNESS FOR DUTY PROGRAM
SUMMARY
During this reporting period, approximately 50.3 percent of the population have been randomly tested. The rate of positives from random testing is 0.17 percent, POSITIVE RESUI.TS:
The two samples that yielded positive results were above the cut off levels i
established by the NRC and were confirmed positive by the Medical Review Officer.-
MANAGEMENT ACTIONS:
Access was not granted to the individual that tested positive on pre badging analysis. Management was notified and the individual's file was annotated of the positive result and management's actions.
The-individual' that tested positive during random testing had their access removed, Management was notified and their file was annotated of the positive result and management's actions.
Of the _ employees _ previously enrolled in follow up testing, one individual satisfactorily completed their_ follow up program during this reporting period.. Another. employee has been undergoing follow up testing resulting from a positive' result received previously.
This employeo has recently applied for and received unescorted access to the protected area.
This employee is still participating in follow-up testing.-
Presently, five employees are still enrolled in follow up testing programs.
During tnis reporting period, sixteen tests have been administered L
collectively to these employees. All results have been favorable.
Management took action to further clarify Company policy on the Fitness.for Duty (FFD)= Program. To ensure program uniformity _and consistency, the revised policy _has been implemented to cover all three nuclear sites operated by_Entergy Operations, Inc.
A FFD conference was held between laboratory technicians of Entergy Operations, Inc. and a representativo of Abbott Laboratories.the manufacturer of the drug testing equipment used by the Company.
This conference is part of an_ ongoing process to ensure the laboratory technicianc are receiving current knowledge on drug testing-methodology that will'be conducted. consistently between the three FFD Sections of Entergy Operations. Inc.
