DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLAWAY PLANT, UNIT 1 QUARTERLY PROGRESS UPDATE

ULNRC-712 dated December 30, 1983 This is a quarterly follow-up response to your letter of May 29, 1981 regarding progress of our Callaway Plant.
On February 28, 1984 Union Electric announced a new date for commencement of fuel load operations.
The unit should be ready for fuel load on April 23, 1984 rather than April 2.
This extension of the schedule will allow additional time for internal review and approval of test results, review of test results by NRC, completion and/or close-out of items required for fuel load, and_ coordination of final activities associated with processing of the operating license.
Our schedule for commercial operation remains unchanged and is late 1984 or early 1985.
