Reiponse to I&E Rulletin 83-08, Electrical Circuit Breakers with an Undervoltage Trip Feature in Use in Safety-Related Applications Other than the Reactor Trip System By Reference (b) you requested that we review the implications of I&E Bulletin 83-08 with respect to our Facility. The purpose of this letter is to inform you that we have completed our review and have concluded that Vermont Yankee does utilize the type of breakers in question. However, none of the breakers used in safety related applications have the Undervoltage Trip Attachments (UVTA). Further, we have no plans in the future to use breakers with UYTA's in safety related applications.
As requested by Reference (b), the time spent reviewing the implications of this Bulletin was four hours. One additional hour was expended in document pre-paration.
