Dear Sir:
It is my understanding that the location of hearings for the licensing procedures on Georgia Power Company's Alvin W. Vogtle Nuclear Generating Plant is currently under consideration by your commission.
Let me urge those of you who will make this decision, to locate the hearings in Waynesboro, Georgia, Plant Vogtle's home.
It is this community which will experience the direct results of the plant's operations. To hold the hearings away from Waynesboro would create a hardship for local citizens who are well qualified to testify to the impact of the Vogltle facility on our community.
Certainly those of us who will directly enjoy the benefits or suffer the ill effects of a nuclear plant should be given the advantage of hearings convenient to our homes.
Therefore, I urge you to name Waynesboro as the site for the
