Dear Mr. Denton:

ULNRC-765 DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLAWAY PLANT, UNIT 1 APPEAL OF THE~500 HOUR MINI-PURGE LIMIT TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 3.6.1.7.b

Reference:

ULNRC-754 dated 3/6/84

.Regarding'the referenced. letter.there was an inadvertent

-error in Attachment 2 under the heading SAFETY.

In that

~

section, the first paragraph, second sentence should read as follows:

"The-18-inch mini-purge isolation valves were environmentally and seismically qualified by a combination of testing and analysis.

In addition, SLNRC 84-0004 (1/16/84) transmitted.a. report which describes the analysis which demonstrates post-LOCA valve operability in the_as-installed configuration."

We regret any problems created by this error.

Very truly yours, Donald F. Schnell
