Environmental Protection Plan Operating Report Appendix B to Facility License No. NPF-11 and NPF-18 Attached is the Annual Environmental Operating Report for 1994 for the Environmental Protection Plan as required by Section 5.4 of Appendix B to Facility License No. NPF-ll and NPF-18.

This report includes information required by the following subsections of Appendix B:

3.1 Plant Design and Operation 4.2.1 Vegetative Integrity on Cooling Pond Dike 5.4.1 EPP Noncompliances and the Corrective Actions to Remedy Them 5.4.2 Nonroutine Reports In accordance with Regulatory Guide 10.1,18 copies are being submitted.

1994 Annual Opera 6ng Report Plant Desian and Operation No changes in station design or operation, tests or experiments were made in accordance with subsection 3.1 which involve a potentially.significant unreviewed environmental issue.

Venetative Intentity on the Coolina Pond Dike The vegetative integrity on the cooling pond dike was inspected in accordance with LaSalle County Surveillance LTS-1000-5. Inspections were completed on 4/29/94, 5/27/94,6/30/94,7/29/94,9/8/94 and 10/27/94. The results of the inspections were as follows:

The ground cover integrity on the cooling pond dikes remained intact. One small bare spot was noted at marker 139 due to fiber optic cable installation; however, this area was reseeded and is growing normally.

Canadian Thistle was present on the cooling pond dike. A program of thistle control is in progress for 1995.

There were no other vegetative concems noted during the 1994 cooling pond dike inspections.

EPP Noncompliance and Action Taken to Remedy Them There were no EPP noncompliances that occurred in 1994.

Nontoutina Reports No nonroutine reports were submitted.
