Subject:
Submittal of Report on Environmental 0ualification of Safety Related Mechanical Equipment lus agreed at'a meeting with your staff on December 1, 1983, submitted herewith-is the Detroit Edison report " Environ-mental Qualification of Safety Related Mechanical Equipment for Harsh Environment".
The format and' content of the report is based on what was recommended by Mr. Masciantonio of your Equipment Qualification Branch at the December meeting.
It should be noted there was no need to include any justifications for' interim operation in the report.
As also was discussed at the December meeting, Detroit Edison may expect to hear from Mr. Masciantonio approximately two" weeks after his receipt of the report to discuss submittal of a few complete mechanical equipment qualification packages for him to audit.
