Washington, DC 20555 PRAIRIE ISLAND NUCLEAR GENERA.ING PLANT Docket Nos. 50-282 Iicense Nos. DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 Steam Generator Veld Indication Evaluations By letters dated December 30, 1994 and January 31, 1995 we submitted for NRC review the results of analytical evaluations of flaws detected in #11, #12, and #22 steam generators. These flaws were deta.ted during inspections in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section XI.

We also submitted two Westinghouse reports which are referenced by the flaw evaluatior. summaries.

On March 9, 1995 we had a conference call with NRC staff regarding these reports. As a result of that discussion, Westinghouse has made minor revisions to WCAP-13032 to clarify the procedures used and we are submitting that revision with this letter.

Enclosed are:

1. 3 copies of UCAP-13032, Revision 1, " Handbook on Flaw 2 valuation Prairie Island Units 1 and 2 Steam Generators Upper Shell to Dome Weld Region" dated March 1995 (Proprietary)
2. 3 copies of WCAP-14430, " Handbook on Fir.w Evaluation Prairie Island Units 1 and 2 Steam Generators Upper Shell to Dome Weld Region" dated March 1995 (Non-Proprietary)

Also enclosed are a Westinghouse authorization letter, CAW-95-804, accompanying affidavit, Proprietary Information Notice, and Copyright Notice.

As Item 1 con: dns information proprietary to Westinghouse Electric Corporation, it is supported by an affidavit signed by Westinghouse, the owner of the information. The affidavit sets forth the basis on which the information may be withheld from public disclosure by the Commission and addresses with specificity the considerations listed in pargraph (b)(4) of Section 2.790 of the Commission's regulations.

Correspondence with respect to the copyright or proprietary aspects of the itesm listed above or the supporting Westinghouse Affidavit should reference CAW-95-804 and should be addressed to N.J. Liparulo, Manager of Nuclear Safety

In addition, WCAP-13032 (July 1991) which we had submitted in the January 31, 1995 submittal should have been treated as proprietary information and we inadvertently neglected to treat it as such when we submitted it.

Therefore, please return WCAP-13C32 (July 1991) to us.

In this letter we have made no new NRC commitments.

Please contact Jack Leveille (612-388-1121, Ext. 4662) if you have any questions related to this letter.
