This letter is to request an informal staff review of the operating test administered to me on March 7,1995 be held.
ne portion of the exam that I feelis in error is on JPM #5 (PRT/ return PRT to normal).
8 Question #1 asks for three sources of water to the PRT other than the pressurizer safety i
valves and the PORV's. My response was: CCP suction relief valve, letdown relief valve, excess letdown relief valve and valve leakoff.
As seen on the attached drawings the CCP suction relief valve does go to the PRT. The letdown relief valve also goes to the PRT. The relief valve that I called the " excess -
letdown reliel" is at a pomt on the piping downstream of where excess letdown and the RCP seal return lines tee together and then go to the Seal Water Heat Exchanger and then on to the CCP suction. His relief valve serves as the relief for excess letdown and RCP seal return headers. With this explanation of the excess letdown relief all four of my responses are correct. In the expected responses it is called the seal retum relief. This is the same valve that I was referring to and now request this question be re-graded to be a correct response.
With a satisfactory grade on the operating portion of JPM #5, I request that this JPM be.
marked as satisfactory. If this meets with your approval,I then propose that the operating test be regraded as satisfactory.
