Dear Mr. Gagliardo:
Reference 1) provided information concerning an incident at Wolf Creek Generating Station in which a Quality Control Inspector had riot graduated from high school as he had stated on his employment application. Reference 1) further described the actions that Kansas Gas and Electric Company (KG&E) was taking as a result of this incident. One of the actions was to verify that all KG&E personnel in positions which by regulation require a high school education have graduated from high school. Reference 2) requested KG&E to notify you of the verification results.
KG&E has completed the verification process and found no other similar instances. Although this was an isolated incident, we will continue to have our background investigation contractor routinely verify the highest education level completed down to and including high school as described in Reference 1).
