VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT NO. 2 PROPOSED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, the Virginia Electric and Power Company requests an amendment in the form of a change to the Technical Specifications, to Operating License No. NPF-7, for North Anna Power Station Unit No. 2.

The proposed Technical Specification change will delete surveillance requirement 4.8.1.1.2.c.6 which requires verification that on a simulated loss of the' diesel generator (with offsite power not available), the loads are shed from the emergency busses and that subsequent loading of the diesel generator is in accordance with design requirements. This proposed Technical Specification change is being performed in accordance with NRC Generic Letter No. 83-30, dated July 21, 1983. In addition, the preceeding surveillance requirements are renumbered appropriately. The proposed Technical Specification change for North Anna Unit No. 2 is provided in Attachment 1. A discussion of the proposed Technical Specification change is provided in Attachment 2.

This request has been reviewed and approved by the Station Nuclear Safety and Operating Committee and the' Safety Evaluation and Control Staff. It has been determined that this request does not involve an unreviewed safety question as defined in 10 CFR 50.59 and does not pose a significant hazards consideration as defined in 10 CFR 50.92.
