In Reference (a) we stated that we were pursuing qualification of certain manual valves in the auxiliary feedwater system to seismic Category I requirements. Pleasebeinformedthatallofthe@alvesin question have been successfully qualified by analysis without the need for modification.
The scope of our evaluation included all manual valves in the following subsystems and on connected branch piping (including vents and drain lines) up to and including the second valve which is normally closed or capable of automatic closure when the safety function is required:
