Dear Mr. Gagliardo:
l This letter provides a revision to the Reference which transmitted Kansas Gas and Electric Company's (KG&E) response to the violations l
l identified in Inspection Report STN 50-482/83-30.
Mr. Otto Maynard of KG&E discussed this revision with Messrs. Johnson and Schum on l
l February 14, 1984.
On page three of the Reference under " Corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further violations", KG&E states that:
AP-XIII-05 will also be revised to require a Quality inspector to complete tool, material, equipment and j
personal property written records prior to personnel entering and exiting Zone I, II and III areas under the Constructor's jurisdiction.
l The procedure has been revised and now requires that the written records be completed. However, the individual responsible for completing the records will be the security guard or other designated individual, rather than a Quality Inspector. This allows better utilization of Quality Inspectors without jeopardizing access or material controls.
