Beaver Valley Power Station,. Unit No. 1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 Semiannual Effluent Report for the Second Six Months of 1984 Gentlemen:

Under the Beaver Valley Power Station Unit No. 1 License DPR-66, and in accordance with the requirements of Section 5.6.1.B of the Environmental Technical Specifications, the Semiannual Effluent and Waste Disposal Report is hereby submitted.

This report has been prepared in accordance with USNRC Regulatory Guide 1.21, Revision 1, and the format presented in Appendix B of that guide.

The quarterly dose estimations for the entire year of 1984 are submitted in this report as Table 5.

They were performed for all Liquid and Gaseous Effluents that were released from Beaver Valley Power Station Unit No. 1 during 1984.

All doses listed in this Table were calculated for the maximum individual at the identified receptor locations.

In accordance with reporting requirement 6.9.1.12 for Technical Specification 3.3.3.10, Ventilation Vent Radiation l

Monitor RM-VS-101A/B was declared inoperable on 11/30/83 and was not corrected within 30 days due to the unavailability of an ASCO solonoid used to control the monitor's pump.

There were no safety implications to the health of the plant personnel or public.

All redundant radiation monitors in the flow path were operable and the appropriate grab samples were taken.
