l Please refer to my letter to you dated September 26, 1983 which contained our; response to Inspection Report Hos. 50-259/83-27, -260/83-27,

-296/83-27 for Brotms Ferry Nuclear Plant.

In the Appendix B response,

. item 2, "Date When Corrective Action Will Be Completed," we indicated full cordpliance of the technical instructions would be achieved by October 12, 1983 This compliance was to coincide with the completion of

unit'1, cycle 5 refueling outage which was scheduled for October 12,

-1983.L However,-this refueling schedule has been slipped to late November and the-full compliance of the technical instructions will also be

-delayed. Full compliance will be achieved and the indicated corrective

. action completed before startup of unit 1 for cycle 6 operation. This was discussed between Mike Hellums of my staff and Bob Carroll of your staff on October 11, 1983 If you have any questions, please call Jim.Domer at FTS 858-2725.
