" Contrary to FSAR Section 10.3.8.2, the steam generator blowdown tank condensate, when contaminated, doesn't go to the vent and drain system and the flashed vapor does not exhaust through the process vent."
RESPONS2 The above deviation is correct as stated in the inspection report.
A design change to modify the steam generator blowdown system is currently being completed on Surry Unit No. I and is scheduled for e
implementation on Surry Unit No. 2 in the near future. This design change

involves the installation of a heat exchanger which will subcool the blowdown liquid and thus eliminate the release of flashed vapors. The subcooled liquid will then be released from the station through existing blowdown system piping.
