The purpose of this letter is to transmit the results of a design basis accident analysis which provides bounding worst case offsite dose consequences for a south plant vent gaseous particulate release from the decontamination solution evaporator. The results provided in Attachment 1 utilize conservative assumptions and follow the methodology outlined in applicable regulatory guides. As indicated in Attachment 1, the dose calculation results are well within the limits established in Regulatory Guide 1.3.

Please note that this information only supplements the in-depth operational assessments of radiological consequences previously completed by PSE&G.- Those evaluations were performed to determine regulatory compliance and to ensure that there were no significant radiological consequences.
