Specification Change Request NPF-38-150 ,

Gentlemen:

By letter dated February 14, 1994 Waterford 3 proposed several changes to the Technical Specifications (TS) to support compliance with the revised t requirements of 10 CFR Part 20. The purpose of this letter is to modify  ;

the subject request as discussed in a conversation with the staff. These-modifications are primarily administrative in nature and update the TS ,

consistent with the revised regulations of 10CFR Part 20.

The revised TS pages provided by this submittal are to replace those same l pages previously provided in Attachment 8 of Technical Specification Change Request NPF-38-150 dated February 14, 1994.

The following changes are indicated in Attachment A:

1) TS LC0 3.11.1.4 and assoc _iated BASES 3/4.11.1.4 - The maximum quantity of radioactive material in the LC0 is modified from  !

7.85 x 10 to 7.85 x 10'" curies. The footnote to the LC0 and  !

the BASES is modified by removing "10 times" to be consistent

with the revised 10CFR Part'20.

2) TS 6.9.1.4 - Disregard the previously proposed March 31 date. The current March I date is correct.
3) TS 6.9.1.5 - Incorporated report submittal date of prior to March 31 and changed the wording of "for whom monitoring was required" to "for whom monitoring was cerformed".
4) TS 6.12 - The previously proposed change to TS 6.12 "High Radiation Area" is withdrawn and replaced with the current TS wordiilg as modified in the attached to be consistent with 10CFR Part 20.

The attached changes are purely administrative in nature and have no impact on the previously provided determination of no significant hazards.
