Three tiile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (TMI-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Doc (et No. 50-289 Independent Fire Rating Test for Rockbestos Fire Proof Cable Ref: GPUN Letter 5211-83-324, Dated November 30, 1983 GPUN and the Rockbestos Company are cooperating in the development of a fireproof cable designed to be used in lieu of one (1) hour fire barriers in meeting the requirements of 10CFR50, Appendix R (Fire Protection). You are invited to witness the ASTM E-119 oven exposure and water spray test to be performed with fireproof cables in both cable tray and conduit.
The test is tentatively scheduled for 10Aff, Tuesday, February 21, 1984 at Underwriter's Laboratories Inc., 333 Pfingsten Road, Northbrook, Illinois.
(Directions from O' Hare Airport to UL are attached.)
The proposed test program is described in detail in the above referenced letter. The scope of the test includes the following:

A 1 hour1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br /> ASTM E-119 oven exposure of test cables wired for circuit integrity monitoring.

Leaving O' Hare get on 294 North towards Milwaukee.
2.
Af ter 1 or 2 tolls get off on Willow Road.
3.
Proceed east on Willow Road to the second traffic light (Pfingsten Road).
4.
Turn left onto Pfingsten Road and proceed north to Dundee Road.
5.
Cross Dundee Road and continue approximately 1/2 mile on Pfingsten Road.
The Underwriter's test facility is on the right hand side.
6.
Proceed to the area in the rear of the Underwriter's test facility near the smoke stack.
