Facility Operating Ucense-No. EPR-65 Docket No. 50-336 This letter forwards the Special Report required pursuant to Millstone Unit 2 Technical Specification 3.3.3.7.b, " Fire Detection Instrumentation." This report identifies that fire alarm panel C26E has been out of service for greater than 14 days due to trouble shooting maintenance required to locate and repair an intermittent electrical ground.
The event is being reported in accordance with Specification 6.9.2.f and Technical Specification 3.3.3.7.b. There were no safety consequences resulting from this event because the plant complied with the Action "a" of Technical Specification 3.3.3.7.
Technical Specification 3.3.3.7 which requires establishing a fire watch patrol within one hour to inspect affected areas once per hour.
The electrical ground has been cleared and associated work has been completed.
Panel C26E has been put in service.
