By letter dated June 29,1995, Region III informed Commonwealth Edison Co.
(Comed) of concerns regarding the change in contract administration for the firewatch program from Burns Fire Protection Group to Richardson-Estes, Inc. The concerns and the Comed response to those concerns are contained in the enclosure to this letter. Pursuant to 10CFR 2.790(a), the enclosure to this letter is considered l
exempt from public disclosure.
Comed respectfully requests that a minimum response time of thirty days from date of receipt be afforded to respond to similar concerns. This is necessary to provide sufficient time to thoroughly investigate and disposition the concerns in addition to affording sufficient time for the internal executive reviews to occur. Additionally, Comed requests that the details of the concerns also be provided to the Nuclear Regulatory Services Manager in the Downers Grove office. This is requested 1
because concerns of this nature are coordinated from the corporate office.
