Las Cruces, 88007 Email: kathyrwooten@gmail.com General Comment We, the citizens of the State of N.M., say a flat "NO" to this nuclear consolidated storage facility. We do NOT want this in our State. Because Yucca Mountain had enough political push-back, a fully completed facility is abandoned in favor of taking advantage of a poor State lacking this insider Political muscle.

We've seen it time and again - NM lands being used as sacrifice zones for extractive industry and harmful nuclear research. Our citizens's health and welfare used as a sacrifice for "problems" not of our making. 1st atomic bomb? New Mexico. Continued insane nuclear pit production? New Mexico. Ongoing nuclear research endangering Los Alamos and myriad transportation routes with bungling management, and dangerous, unaddressed spills. New Mexico. This "temporary" facility is nothing of the sort. It is a false name for endlessly harmful waste whose home will be? New Mexico.

Based on past decision making, I expect this "opinion" to be ignored. With the "line" being that this is a uniquely "safe" storage location geologically and scientifically - as well as the multiple, nation-widow transportation routes being completely "safe" from transport spills. But we will stand fast in opposition. It won't go down quietly.
