Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Units 2 and 3 R.D. 1, Delta, Pennsylvania 17314 Identification of Deviation:
Loss of a second fan on "A" Cooling Tower.
Conditions Prior to Deviation:
Unit 2 operating at approximately 95% power. Unit 3 shutdown.
Description of Deviation:
1 A second fan motor failed, thus, making the cooling tower in-operable.
Designation of Apparent Cause of Deviation:
Investigation revealed that the fan motor had failed electri-cally.
Analysis of the Deviation:
Because nine of eleven f ans remained operable, the effect upon the environment was negligible.
