Commonwealth Edison Company (CECO) has recently learned that the ASME Board of Nuclear Codes and Standards has approved Codo Case N 498 (Altetnativo Rulos for 10 Year Hydrostatic Pt9ssuto Testing for Class 1 and 2 SystemsSection XI, Division 1). This Code Caso necepts a system pressure test (at nominal operating pressure) as an altmnativo to the codo toquired system hydrostatic test for Class 1 and 2 systems.
Reference (a) submittod a Rellof Roquest for the adoption of Codo Case f 4-498 for the Deosden Station (Units 2 and 3) Inservice Inspection Program, in subsequent toloconferences (Relotoncos (b) and (c)), CECO was informed that the Code Case will be incorporated into the next revision of Regulatory Guido 1.147. Based upon this NRC ondorsomont, Quad Citios Station will be incorporatin 1 Codo Caso N 498 into the Inservico Inspection Program for the remainder of the current it-year interval for Units 1 and 2.
