Loss of a second fan on the "C" cooling tower.

Condi tions Prior to Deviation:

Unit 2 at approximately 57% power and Unit 3 shutdown.

Description of Deviation:

The 'D' fan on the 8C' tower was removed from service, while the

'F' fan was out of service for maintenance.

Designation of Apparent Cause of Deviation:

l Coupling faiIurs.

Analysi.s of Deviation:

Significance nf the deviation is minimal because of the -re-duced power operation and river flows in excess of 20,000 cfs.
