Identification of Deviation:
Two cooling towers simultaneously inoperative.
Conditions Prior to Deviation:
Unit 3 shutdown. Unit 2 operating at 97 2% power. The "A" cooling tower out of service due to a previous lif t pump bearing failuref~
"C" cooling tower operabic. River flow 44,300 cfs.
Description of Deviation:

On January 5,1975, with the "K" fan out of service for maintenance, the "E" fan on the "B" cooling tower tripped due to a high vibration signal. Further inspection of the cooling tower -
revealed that the "L" fan motor was running but the fan was.not turning due to failure of the gear reducer drive uni t.
