i Dear Mr. Lear s 4

In my letter of June 18, 1976 cuncerning RHR (LPCI) pump operation in excess of design flow (runout) I indicated that the 3

permanent fix would be scheduled for the earliest outage of suf-ficient duration af ter completion of design and procurement of 1

material.

I The Philadelphia Electric Company Engineering Department now advises that the design will be complete and all necessary materi-l als will be available by mid May 1977 and we therefore anticipate that the final fix can be implemented during the refueling outage on Unit

  1. 2 (scheduled for Spring 1977) and during the earliest subsequent appro-priate outage on Unit It3 Should you have any questions on the above or require adddi-tional information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Very truly yours, 1-y[.'"
