Correction to Dose Projection Values Provided in Response to Exercise Weakness-482/9119-02 Gentlement This letter provides a correction to two dose projection values provided in the Reference.
One of the examples of exer-cise weakness 482/9119-02 involved the use of dose projections and making protective action recommendations-for evacuation of personnel t>eyond 10 miles.
The Reference provided information concerning offsite monitoring team's radiation measurements and the Emergency Operations Facility's (EOF) dose projections based on-these measurements.
The Reference stated _ (Attachment, page

second paragraph) "The EOF
-performed a similar dose projection at 1115 estimating a child thyroid-dose tate __of 0.753 R/h at 10 miles and a dose of 1.507 R-for a 2 hour2.314815e-5 days <br />5.555556e-4 hours <br />3.306878e-6 weeks <br />7.61e-7 months <br /> exposure at 10 miles.'
Subsequent review of the Reference has-identified that the-dose

rate and 2 hour2.314815e-5 days <br />5.555556e-4 hours <br />3.306878e-6 weeks <br />7.61e-7 months <br /> dose projections were 0.002 R/h and 0.004 R respectively.
This corrected information was provided to Dr. D. B. Spitzberg of your staff in a-telephone. call on November 15. 1991.
The incorrect values provided-in the reference were apparently the result of a transcription error during the preparation of the Reference.
