Dear Mr. Flora:
With reference to four inquiry concerning the mal function of electric type valve operators, speci fice lly Limi t orquo Models SMll-00 and SMIl-000, we h ave prepa red the at t rched listing of valves having operators of the above mentioned model numbers that are installed at Fort Saint Vrain.
You will note from the list that eight (8) of the valves are in Class I service.
We have been in contact with the local representative for Limitorque in an attempt to establish the year of nanu-f acture of our valve operators, and if any of the operat ors we have are subject to the deficiencies described in your inquiry.
We have not, however, received this information en yet.
It is our understandinq based on information provided by the local Limitorque representative that the main Linitorque office (King of Prussia) intends to issue a letter to all consumers that are involved describing the defects and the corrective actions that will be teken.
As of this dete, we have not received this information from Limitorque.
Until we receive more definitive information from the manufacturer, we cannot adequately respond to your inquiry.-
Please be assured that we are pursuing this mat ter, and as soon as we receive the necessary information f rom Limi torque; we will provide you with a complete disposition.
