! As defined by Technical Specifications for the Verrmat Yankee ,

l Nucicar Power Station. Section 6.7. we are reporting the folicniing

Abnormal Occurrence as AO-75-08 and confirming.our telephone conversa-tion with your office. ,

i j At approximately 0900 on April 8,1975, while performing a routine surveillance test, it was discovered that the Air Ejector Suction Valve I Isolation tima delay timer 17-157A actuated at one (1) minute and six (6) seconds. Table 3.2.4 of the Technical Specifications requires that the i trip setting of this timer be set at less than or equal to one (1) minute.

i Failura of this timer to actuate within the specified tolerance resulted j l

in fewer operable instrument channels per trip system than that required j hy Table 3.2.4 of the Technical Specifications.

j The timer was immediately reset to a trip setting of forty-seven (47) i seconds which precluded the necessity of performing the action specified

' in Notes 1 and 2 of Table 3.2.4 of the Technical Specifications.. The plant was operating at full power at the time of tha discovery of this occurrence.
