This letter is being._.3mitted in accordance with the Limerick Generating Station (LGS), unets 1 and 2, Environmental Protection Plan

'(EPP), Section 3.2, which stipulates that the NRC shall be notified within thirty (30) days following the date of approval of a change to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit.

By letter dated September 25, 1991, the NPDES permitting agency for LGS, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources (PA DER), approved the attached change to the LGS NPDES Permit No. PA 0051926.

We previously notified the NRC that we were requesting this change to the LGS NPDES permit by our letter dated May 21, 1991.

This change permits the use of new chemical additives for controlling Asiatic clams in the secondary cooling system.
