On July 1, 1991 TV Electric orally notified the NRC of a potentially reportable deficiency in which porosity was found in the weld in a 10",

schedule 40. SA 312 stainless steel pipe.

Specifically, three pores were noted in the manufacturer's seam weld during interpretation of radiographic results of a site f abricated circumfer ential weld.

The pipe was from heat number 911737 and was m.nufactured by Youngstown Steel in March 1991.

In letter logged TXX 91364, dated September 30, 1991 TV Electric reported that the next report of this issue will be submitted no later than l!ovember 15, 1991. We are continuing the investigation of reportability and corrective actions. The next report will be submitted no later than December 6, 1991.
