In the time 1eriod since the Reference (a) transmittal, several teletonferences Tave been held between representatives of Commonwealth Edison (Ceco) and the NRC Staff. These discussions sought to clarify CECO's proposed response to Generic Letter 88-01. In Reference (a), CECO proposed to modify Surveillance Requirement 4.4.3.2.1.b as follows:

"Honttoring the primary containment sump flow rate at least once per 12 hours1.388889e-4 days <br />0.00333 hours <br />1.984127e-5 weeks <br />4.566e-6 months <br />', and

• This surveillance is to be performed on average once per 8 hours9.259259e-5 days <br />0.00222 hours <br />1.322751e-5 weeks <br />3.044e-6 months <br /> not to exceed 12 hours1.388889e-4 days <br />0.00333 hours <br />1.984127e-5 weeks <br />4.566e-6 months <br />. Technical Specification 4.0.2 does not apply "

To simpitry this requirement, the NRC Staff destres to modify CECO's proposed modification to Surveillance Requirement 4.4.3.2.1,b as follows:
