REOUEST OF GEORGIANS AGAINST NUCLEAR ENERGY FOR PROTECTIVE ORDER j l

GANE (Georgians Against Nuclear Energy) requests the cooperation of the parties in developing a protective order for GANE to examine the security plan of the Neely Nuclear Research Center and the Georgia Tech Research Reactor for the Olympic Games.which will be held around the facility in July 1996.

Following the Atomic Safety & Licensing Board's request that the parties develop a protective order, GANE initiated contact with Ms.

Patricia Guilday, esq. of the State of Georgia Attorney General's office through telephone call on Monday, May 15, 1995. Ms. Guilday declined to set a meeting date with GANE and asked us to submit our request in writing. ,

GANE hereby requests a meeting with Georgia Tech and any other parties with an interest to establish a protective order for selected GANE representatives to review and evaluate the security plan for the Neely Nuclear Research Center. We note that the plan is classified as confidential which is the lowest level of guarded information. GANE expresses urgency on this matter that we may proceed and devise a resolution to this pressing issue in time for action to be taken well before the July 1996 Olympics. j

Respectfully submitted, l
