Response Requested - Follow up on ND's RAI Responses Mr. McCollum, Good morning. The staff has reviewed NDs RAI responses that were submitted on March 13, 2020, and would like to clarify some information in your RAI responses. Specifically, regarding RAI #4, the staff would like to better understand the scope of NDs QAPD. The staff believes, based on the docketed information, NDs QAPD is applicable to Bellefonte while the plant is in deferred status. In your RAI response, it appears that ND plans to implement the same QAPD for other plant states beyond deferred status. The staff would like to get further clarifications on this topic. Regarding RAI #1, the staff would like to get further clarifications to better understand your written responses to Questions 1.a, 1.b, and 1.d.
The purpose of my email is to ask if your staff would be available for a public teleconference meeting to discuss staffs follow-up questions on your RAI responses. Since the NRC has a 10-day public meeting notice timeliness goal, please let me know if your staff is able to support a call sometime during the week of April 6th, and if you have a preference for the meeting time/date. Id expect the call to last about 1 hour1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br />. The desired outcome of this public meeting for the staff is to determine whether a follow-up RAI is needed to be sent to ND or the clarifications that the staff is seeking can be provided on the docket, e.g., via a letter or a supplemental RAI response.
