May 1995 l

'Ibe unit began the month at 100% power (860 MWe).

On 05/13/95 at 1305 power was reduced to 98% due to level fluctuations in the first stage of 12 Moisture -

Separator Reheater (MSR). 'Ihe first and second stage reheaters were renoved from service, due to concerns that the fluctuations could cause tube damage due to thermal fatigue. An evaluation was performed and the MSR second stage was returned to service. The MSR first stage was returned to service at a reduced pressure after determining the pressure where the fluctuations occurred. Power was returned

. to 100% (840 MWe) at 2135 on 05/19/95.

The unit ended the month at 100% power (840 MWe).
