BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 2 AND 3 - REPORTABLE DEFICIENCY - USE OF IMPROPER SCIIEDULE PIPE IN STANDBY LIQUID CONTROL SYSTEM l
Initial report of the subject reportable deficiency was made to G. R. Klingler, NRC-IE, Region II, on January 12, 1976.
In compliance with paragraph 50.55(e) of 10 CFR Part 50, we submitted a report on the deficiency on February 11, 1976, J. E. Gilleland to Donald F. Knuth.
To prevent the recurrence of similar deficiencies, the Director of Engineering Design will prepare a memorandum requesting project managers to reevalucte existing controls for drawing verification. The memorandum will also instruct project managers to make appropriate changes or additions to detailed project level engineering procedures to ensure compliance with DED-EP 3.10, " Design Verification Methods and Performance of Design Verifications."
