ZIMMER NUCLEAR POWER STATION - UNIT 1 10CFR50. 55 (e), ITEM M INCOMPLETE HYDRAULIC ANALYSIS OF CRD PIPING W.O.

57300, JOB E-5590,-FILE NO. 956C,-M-32 This letter constitutes a follow-up to our final report, QA-1727, dated April 29, 1982, concerning the subject deficiency initially reported to the NRC as a potentially reportable deficiency under the requirements of 10CFR50.55(e).

Since our last follow-up report, QA-2294, dated March 8, 1983, CG&E has worked to resolve document deficiencies associated with the Control Rod Drive (CRD) system.

This effort has closed eight (8) out of eighteen (18) Document Deficiency Notices (DDN's).

Sargent & Lundy Engineers (S&L) has completed an evaluation of support modifications prescribed by the hydraulic reanalysis and has determined that the piping will be within ASME code stress limitations if installed per their design drawings.

Field verificatton of installed hardware has not been performed.
