Dear Mr. Congel:
Enclosed is a copy of the final exercise report for the July 25, 1990, joint exercise of the offsite radiological emergency response plans site-specific to the Clinton 11uclear Power Plant.
The Stato of Illinois and the Support Countion of Macon, McLean, an' piatt partially participated in the exorciso.
DoWitt County, as.cl1 as the Illinois Power Corpany, fully participated in the exercise.
The exercise report, dated June 7, 1991, was prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region V staff and copics of the report wi.11 be provided to the State of Illinois.
There were na Deficiencias identifiod during the July 25, 1990,

Requiring Corrective Action.
A schedule of correctivo actions has been provided by the State of Illinois in response to the exercise weaknesses identified.
Additional verification will be provided by FEMA Region V during the next exerciso for the Clinton 11uclear Power Plant, new scheduled for llovember 4, 1992.
Based on the results of the July 25, 1990, exerciso, the offsite radiological emergency responsa plans and preparedness for the Clinton liuclear Power Plant are adequate to provide reasonabic assurance that appropriato measures can be taken to protect the health and safety of the public in the event of a radiological emergency at the site.
Therefore, the Title 44 CFR, Part 350 i
approval of the offsite radiological emergency response plans and preparedness site-specific to the Clinton !!uclear Po','er Plant granted August 3, 1987, continues to be in effect.
