On the seventh test cycle the pilot valve did not cime. D e ERV [7. " was isolated and permitted to cool down vbile waiting for Crosby representa-c.: 7 5 tives. ~.1 O. $.. Crosby rep.. Valt Conroy, arri ed and the pilot valve assembly was re=aved (W -.6 fram the main valve. Disassembitt of the pilot vahe revealed that the pilot valve sten had, stu'c1 open due to the close tolerance c ausing a6 binding con-dition between the O.D. of the stem enl the I. D. of the pilot valve nozsle. g ..), Also, a small cetal particle was found in the pilot sten /no:tle area. Sub-h- " ~! ' sequent cleaning of the inlet piping to the ERY revealed this same type of IldrJ a E. 4 ,. ~ ~T metal particles.., r.~... n &.
