This is in response to your letter of June 8, 1976, to Godwin Wil11asas, Jr., regarding the followup action taken or planned to correct several identified fire-related items of concern and also transmitting a notice of violation. The areas of concern identified in the June 6, 1976, letter have previously been identified by TVA1 and the proposed corrective action for each was contained in our abnormal occurrence report EFAO-50-259/765V transmitted to N. C. Moseley on May 18, 1976, All of the corrective actions comunitted to in that report are now implamented.
Infraction Procedure BFM8, " Cutting, Valding, and Open-Flame Work Permit,"
requires performing a survey of the work area prior to obtaining the permit and also requires that a fire watch be provided for the particular cutting operation perforned in the Unit i drywell on May 4, 1976.
Contrary to the above, the survey required by Procedure BFM8 was not perforned and a fire watch was not provided during the cutting operation.

duties immediately and returned to his former nosrauclear work station.
