Dear Mr. Goller:
Your letter of February 21, 1973 to Mr. R. C. Youngdahl requested that Consumers Power Company review the control circuits of all safety-related equipment at the Palisades Plant to assure that disabling of one component does not render other components inoperable. We have conducted an extensive review based on the in-fomation provided in your February 21, 1973 letter and concluded that the disabling of one component will not cause other components to be inoperable.
-f In addition, we have reviewed plant procedures as was re-dl quested by your February 21, 1973 letter. The plant procedures pro-i vide that, prior to removing a portion of a safety-related redundant gg system from service, portions remaining in service be tested to in-sure they are operable. These testing requirements and the review of the ceatrol circuits design assure that, if a portion of a safety-rele+,
