Washington, D.C.

Dear Mr. Pallidinot Regariing ycur meeting between Consumers Power Co. an! the N.R.C.

held in April. Thers vezerepresentatives there that said they represented the Midland Community. They only represent themselves as the opposition. It would be great if your committee vould inform the people that take the opposite view to Mary Sinclair'- G. A.P. an! Lone Tree Council an! let us tell you our side of the story.

They keep stressing safety concerns - we are all concerne! about safety.

> We are concerned about the economics - short & long term. I can't un$er-stand the lack of concern that closing this plant would have'on the entire State " jobs - there are 5,000 of them tied into this plant."

Mary Sincia r speaks for very, very few people in Midland.

Sincerely, f

Ben Lerner
