Amendment 5 to the HCGS FSAR contains: (1) revisions to Section 17.2 and the Question and Response Appendix, 260 series responses, agreed to at the Hope Creek Quality i Assurance Meeting held March 15, 1984, (2) responses to the Instrumentation and Control Systems Branch (ICSB) request for additional information outlined in NRC letter of l November 21, 1983 (A. Schwencer, NRC to R. L. Mittl, PSE&G), and as discussed at the ICSB meeting held on January 10-13, 1984, and (3) general revisions to the FSAR text.
- Also, responses to prior NRC requests forecaste'd for closure by February and March 1984, are included as previously outlined in PSE&G letters of March 5, 1984, and April 2, 1984 (R.

Mittl to A. Schwencer, NRC, to identify the current assigned recip-ients for the HCGS FSAR. We did not issue HCGS FSAR Amendment 5 to the Attorney General Department of Law and Public Safety-because on the Acknowledgement of Receipt form for HCGS.FSAR Amendment 4, he requested no further amend-ments be issued to him (Ref. Attachment 4). Also, we did not issue HCGS FSAR Amendment 5 to the Director of the Pennsville Public Lib 1:ary per Attachment 5 letter stating that the library was receiving amendment copies from the NRC. is an update of the enc:.osure to the October 13, 1983, NRC letter, as previously revised in PSE&G letter. dated November 1, 1983, from R.
