U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C. 20555 Re: Emergency Response Plan - River Bend Station, Docket Nos. 50-458 and 50-459 Your Honor:

Pursuant to our discussion of May 2, 1984, I have -

scheduled a meeting to discuss the contentions filed relative to the plan.

The meeting will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 1984. The place of the meeting will be at the of fice of the Louisiana Nuclear Energy Division, 4845 Jamestown Drive, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The telephone number there is (504) 925-4518, and Mr. Dave Zaloudek is our coordinator.

There may be a problem with the 21st, if needed, but I think we can work it out on the 18th. I have no objection to going late Friday, or continuing on Saturday if needed, if everyone concurs. -

I propose that we review each of the contentions in order, try to agree on a course of action, and decide who will accomplish the needed action. Af ter all of the contentions are dealt with, I propose we entertain any other thoughts the conferees may have about the plan.

A copy of this notice has been sent to the attached distribution list. I trust the foregoing meets with everyone's approva1.
