On April 18, 1984, Mr. George Rivenbark, NBC project manager for Plant Hatch, contacted my staff to request clarification of our schedule for implenentation.of Regulatory Guide 1.97.
A sumary report containing schedule information was subnitted to the NRC on February 29, 1984.
This letter responds to Mr. Rivenbark's request for clarification of that subnittal.
Section III of our February subnittal contains a sumary which indicates the schedule for implementation of each BWR variable in the Regulatory Guide.
Clarification was requested for the meaning of " Note 1" in the stumary table. Note 1 indicates that the variable will be displayed on the i
Safety - Paraneter-Display Systen (SPDS), but does not provide an explicit schedule. Our schedule for SPDS was subnitted to the NRC on April 15, 1983, in response to NUREG 0737, Supplanent-1 (Generic Letter 82-33).
'Ihe date for full implenentation of SPDS was ' given as June, 1986.
Georgia Power l
Canpany received an NRC confirmatory order for Supplanent 1 on February 21, 1984. The date for SPDS implenentation in the order is June 30, 1986.

This should be considered to mean " prior to Decenber 31" of the stated year.
