We have received a copy of your July 11,1983 (TSCR 126) application which was filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (0NRR) for review. This application proposed certain Technical Specification changes relating to surveillance standards and to clarification of the structure and function of the Independent Onsite Safety Review Group for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit No.1.
A Class II fee
($1,200) was remitted with your application pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22.
By letter dated November 8,1983, your Corporation withdrew that por-tion of your application relating to the structure and functions of the Independent Onsite Safety Review Group.
Based on information provided by the ONRR staff as the result of their Class III fee ($4,000)your application, it has been determined that a preliminary review of is appropriate since the review of the surveil-lance standards will involve a single safety issue. Therefore, you are requested to remit the additional sum of $2,800 to this office.
If the ONRR staff's final review of your application reveals that this fee is not appropriate, you will be notified and any necessary adjust-ments will be made.
