Enclosed herewith are twenty (20) copies of the Midland Nuclear Plant Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) which are provided for your information.
Five (5) additional copies are being sent directly to Dr R A Bari of Brookhaven National Laboratory at the request of D S Hood of the NRC.
- Also, by copy of this letter, fifteen (15) copies of the Midland PRA are being forwarded to the ACRS consistent with their request in the referenced letter.
A comparison of the Midland risk profile with the proposed NRC Commission safety goals is shown on Table 4.4-9 of the PRA. This comparison clearly shows that operation of the Midland Plant will present no significant public health risk. Ve believe the Midland PRA to be a comprehensive analysis and look forward to meeting with the NRC Staff in the near future to present our findings and methodology in detail.
