Performance of reactor trip circuit breakers Ginna Station, Unit No.1 Docket No. 50-244
Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
The reactor trip circuit breakers at Ginna Station are Westinghouse, Type DB-50.
These circuit breakers were inspected and tested successfully on

Wednesday, December 15, 1971. They have never failed to operate when required.
In recognition of the possibility of the failure of this make and model of reactor trip breaker to operate, Westinghouse has proposed a modification to the under-voltage trip device for these DB-50 circuit breakers. We under-stand this correction has been successfully demonstrated in other plants and we anticipate that evaluation, receipt, installation and testing will be complete by the end of January,1972.
The reactor trip breakers will be tested at least every six months.
