Failure of 1C Snicty Injection Puep (SIP) to start manually from Bus 16 when control switch was closed at the Control Board on June 12, 1973.

This is a repeat of the abnormal occurrence (73-3) thet. was reported to you on
. June 11, 1973.
After further rnaintenance work una performed on the IC SIP Breaker frota Bus 16 on June 12, 1973, the Ercaker failed to operato properly when it was being re-s l
turned to service. The IC SIP remained operable from Bus 14 throughout the maintenance on Bus.16 breaker.
3 Further investigation indicated that the problem was in the cell switch for the

Bus 16 breaker. 'Ihc ec11 switch was adjusted and the IC sip was started satis-
]
factorily 3 t.imes.
The PORC tact and they considne the problem resolved, however, they recomend that further investigation be undo with Westinghouse on the proper application of thin. type cell switch.
